Last Sunday, we left Sydney for our circumnavigation cruise of 5 weeks. We are now in Victoria State and still happy on this cruise ship.

We are the only two Swiss on board and the youngest couple! :-) Nearly half of the guests are American, 300 are Aussies, 70 Kiwis and then we have also lots of Canadian, a couple of French, German, Japanese,… We already met a few people and everybody on board is very nice.

We spent a day in Newcastle, then a day in Eden. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to go to Bateman’s bay (and so Canberra) as the destination was cancelled for safety reasons. What a shame! On Thursday and Friday, we were in Tasmania and this was really good! Port Arthur is a lovely place and we enjoyed our night at Hobart.

For the first time of my life I saw koalas and this was awesome! We went to a wildlife park in Hobart. We were even able to touch them, what a lovely animal! A day of a koala consists in 20 hours sleeping, 4 hours feeding and 5 minutes moving! Wonderful life, isn’t it?

On Sunday, we were in Melbourne. We arrived at 8am so the city was still asleep. But then what a busy place! Wonderful! We were told there was 23 events this day only in Melbourne! We were lucky to be able to visit the Victorian parliament house. This was the open day and this was very interesting.

Now we are heading north to Adelaide. The sea conditions are ok but for us it is a bit rough. Well, let’s say it balances quite a bit because of the wind. But that ok, we are not seasick :-)
