We are now in the South for more than three weeks and we still enjoy. Next Friday, we will need to give back the campervan and on Saturday, we fly to the Aussies! :-) We look forward to beginning our 35 days cruise!

After Stewart Island and the Fiordland, we really enjoyed the beautiful mountains of Mount Cook with two walks and an one-hour flight over the Mount Cook! What a flight, just awesome! I now think we left one day too early Mount Cook but that’s ok… We went then to Lake Tekapo where we weren’t able to visit the observatory because of the wind. Then we went to Mt Somers (Mt Potts for the Lotr fans) and Arthur’s Pass. This was nice. Lake Brunner and Westport, with the Cape Foulwind were also lovely and I enjoyed lots the Pancakes Rocks with a sunny weather and high tide (last time we were there it was rainy west coast…).

We are now at Golden Bay-Abel Tasman NP and the weather is gorgeous! We went to Farewell Spit and saw plenty of seals. We also slept at Totaranui in the NP but weren’t able to do the walk we planned due to the sea. We found a lovely camping in Pohara Beach (near Takaka) and we stay for two nighs. Then we leave to go to Nelson where we need to do some administration… before heading south to Kaikoura to see the whales and Christchurch on Friday!

Hope you have a nice weather in Wellington so you enjoy the summer as we do!
