Welcome to our kiwis friends!
During our travel of nearly 4 months, we would like to keep in touch with our kiwis friends and the ones who don't speak French. So we have created a new English category on our blog called Catch up!
Just a summary of what will happen!
So, Alex and I will finish our work on 10 Feb (a bit more than 1 month). We leave Wellington on 11 Feb and travel to the South by ferry and train (the Tranz Scenic) till Christchurch. It will take one day but we have plenty of time. Then we have rented a campervan for a month till 11 Mar. We will do a trip from Christchurch - Akaroa - Timaru - Penguins colony - Dunedin - Catlins - Stewart Island - Queenstown - Mount Cook - Lake Tekapo - Arthur's Pass - Abel Tasman NP - Cape Farewell - Nelson - Christchurch. What an awesome trip!
We need to fly to Sydney on 12 Mar as the cruise around Australia begins on 13 Mar. Then we are on the sea for 35 days and we really look forward to doing this cruise. It will be the first time of our life that we spend a month on the sea! Wouah!
The we will spend three weeks in the outback of Australia. Hopefully we won't meet bugs. We will visit Syndey and Melbourne and then rent a car from Melbourne to Alice Springs. At this stage, we will be already in May and we will fly to Tahiti where we have booked a beautiful resort. The travel goes on to Hawaii for two weeks and eventually New York for 5 nights. We are back in Switzerland on 3 Jun. Just in time for a few events in Switzerland... we will have a month to catch up in our hometown before heading for the German part of the country where we will spend the rest of our live! No, I am joking, just try to settle down... :-)
Regarding the bookings, we have done most of them. We still have a few accommodation to book in Christchurch and Sydney. We have sold the car and I have put a few items on TradeMe. We already find a buyer for the tent! Hopefully we will be able to sell these stuffs.
As we won't have so often an Internet connection, we will try to do our best to give you news each fortnight! You are welcome to leave a comment on the blog.
